Lead Software Developer

As a Lead Software Developer at SCIS, you will drive the development of modern, responsive web applications while providing hands-on technical leadership. In this role, you’ll build new applications using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, while designing robust back-end APIs with ASP.NET Core, Dapper, and Entity Framework Core. In addition, you’ll maintain and enhance legacy systems built with Razor, jQuery, and Bootstrap. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore and integrate cutting-edge AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate workflows and improve code quality. This role requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills. Specific Duties: • Architect and develop new applications using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS • Design and build RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core Web API, Dapper, and Entity Framework Core • Support and enhance existing applications built with ASP.NET Core, Razor, jQuery, AJAX, and Bootstrap • Scope out new features by translating business needs into technical requirements, wireframes, and implementation plans • Lead the development team by conducting code reviews, setting priorities, championing best practices, and guiding architectural and UI decisions • Leverage tools like Claude Code and Cursor to boost efficiency and code quality • Continuously evaluate the adoption of new technologies, tools, standards, and frameworks • Oversee the release management process to ensure smooth, stable deployments • Investigate and resolve production issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes • Perform other duties as required Minimum Background, Education & Experience • 5+ years of full-stack web development experience • Proficiency in ASP.NET Core, C#, and Web API development • Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated deployments • Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, and relational database design • Comfortable maintaining and refactoring older codebases (Razor, jQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap) • Familiarity with SignalR and real-time web technologies • Understanding of SSO and role based access control using Azure AD, JWT, and modern identity protocols (OAuth2/OIDC) • Familiarity with or strong interest in AI-assisted development using tools like Claude Code or Cursor • Leadership experience, including mentoring developers or leadership technical projects • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Must read, write, and speak English. • Must be U.S. Citizen or have work authorization • VISA sponsorship not available.
