Lead Software Engineer (Java)

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with expertise in Java to join our team in Sydney to deliver innovative technology solutions across the regulatory domain within the financial services industry. As a Lead Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing transaction reporting solutions for investment banking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-volume and low-latency Java-based applications
• Develop and integrate RestAPIs and work with JSON data formats
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Contribute to the planning, design, and execution of project tasks
• Work from the office 3 days per week

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Java development
• Proficiency in Java 11, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
• Strong experience with API development such as RestAPIs, JSON, etc
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have

• Prior experience in investment banking, particularly in transaction reporting solutions
• Regulatory knowledge in the financial services industry
