Lead Solar Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including both high and low voltage applications. This role requires expertise in blueprint reading and the ability to lead projects effectively while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Lead Electrician will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations, renovations, and maintenance tasks in commercial settings. Duties • Supervise and coordinate the work of electricians on various projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality workmanship. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution. • Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements. • Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues. • Ensure compliance with NEC regulations during all electrical work. • Perform frame carpentry as needed for electrical installations or renovations. • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. • Train and mentor junior electricians in best practices and safety protocols. Requirements • Proven experience as a commercial electrician with expertise in both high voltage and low voltage systems. • Strong knowledge of NEC standards and regulations. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings. • Familiarity with power tools and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of quality in work performed. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. • Certification or licensure as an electrician is preferred.
