Other Key Information & Disclosures About the Role Lead Teacher Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: • Maintain a secure, safe environment for exploration and learning. • Train and mentor your Assistant Preschool Teacher(s). • Implement curriculum and lesson plans daily. • Prepare classroom reports and daily reports for each child in your classroom. • Engage and provide positive feedback to parents on their child's classroom experience. • Adhere to Department of Children and Families (DCF) policies and regulations. • Perform all childcare duties as necessary. Lead Preschool Teacher Required Qualifications: • Must be 21 years or older. • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. • Must have Early Childhood Education experience. • Must meet DCF and Ladybird Academy 45 hour training requirements. • Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) Lead Preschool Teacher Preferred Qualifications • CPR and First Aid Training (may be obtained during job training). • School bus driving experience. Lead Preschool Teacher Work Environment • Must be able to adapt and make the children's needs the primary focus. • Must be an educator. Ladybird Academy prides itself on educating children, preparing them for the next stage in their lives. • Must be able to kneel, squat, stoop, crawl, lift, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to engage in physical activities including but not limited to jumping, dancing, running, walking, hopping and skipping. Lead Preschool Teacher Job Type This is a full time, 40-hour per week, non-exempt position, eligible for overtime. Applicants must be available between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:30 pm.
