About the team 

This role is positioned within the Product Management team, which also includes Product and Product Strategy. You’ll have the unique opportunity to lay the groundwork for the craft of User Experience at Paxos across research and design. By collaborating closely with UX, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams, you’ll help to foster a culture of design thinking and user-centered design throughout the company.

About the role

We are hiring our first Lead User Experience Designer to drive user research and UX design for the Paxos product portfolio. This role will play a pivotal part in defining the user experience for our highest priority products and in building out our UX team processes. This is a great role for UX leaders who are excited about designing B2B products from the ground up and about building out and rapidly iterating on UX team processes..

What you’ll do 

• Partner with Product to deeply understand product goals and user needs and transfer them into customer journeys, process maps, high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes, shipping high-quality work in a timely fashion.
• Interview customers in close collaboration with product managers to understand user needs and use cases and develop a hypothesis on how we can best create value for our users.
• Define, drive and evangelize the research and design process at Paxos while working seamlessly with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strengthen our user-centric product culture by defining our product’s user personas and socializing them across the company.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Product, Engineering, UX, Operations and Compliance) in iterative product development cycles, ensuring cohesive teamwork for successful product design and delivery.

About you

• Experience driving and applying user-centered design processes across new and existing products and throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in defining user research / customer interview strategies and facilitating workshops and meetings to collect user feedback.
• Strong analytical abilities to understand context, uncover root causes, and identify business constraints to iterate on solutions that delight users.
• Demonstrated ability to work across a wide range of stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Growth, Operations) to collaboratively solve problems.
• Demonstrated ability to help stakeholders understand the importance of design thinking to building world-class B2B products. 
• Are proficient with industry design tools and systems including Figma, Sketch, etc.
