The typical course of instruction may include:

NR562 - Leadership & Management Within Complex Healthcare Systems

This course focuses on advanced processes and skills needed to support safe high-quality nursing care through leadership and management at the organizational and systems level. A major focus is connecting challenging and embracing change improvement within complex healthcare settings. The influence of systems level concepts on providing quality and safe person-centered nursing care are addressed. Principles related to healthcare problems and solution strategies within the environment of care are emphasized.

Responsibilities:

• Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular meaningful feedback about their academic performance development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education

• Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week moderating participation evaluating responses and rationales and responding to questions or comments

• Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes exams and writing assignments

• Exhibit Chamberlain Care™ by displaying behaviors of care respect and professionalism creating a culture that fosters collaboration cooperation and respect among all

Qualifications

You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you meet these requirements:

• MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required

• Active unencumbered compact nursing license (highly preferred)

• Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses. (priority given to candidates who are currently licensed in Illinois)

• Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction

• Faculty must have excellent communication motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment

• Proficient in using MS Office (Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint) WebEx/Teams (or similar platform) and Internet

Additional Information

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online: In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1950/Earned Credit Hour depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
