Job Summary:
Provides diagnostic evaluations and subsequent brief focused treatment using a variety of evidenced-based treatment interventions and various treatment modalities including individual, family, marital, and group psychotherapies.
Essential Responsibilities:
- The duties vary based on in-patient and/or outpatient assignment.
- Evaluates and provides therapeutic intervention for patients requesting mental health services utilizing short-term solution oriented individual, marital, family, and/or group psychotherapy, and/or biofeedback, using verbal communication and testing skills.
- Communicates effectively with outside agencies regarding treatment plans for referring agencies and/or outside providers; this may include preparation of written clinical reports and/or consultations.
- Provides crisis intervention services as needed; determines appropriateness of hospitalization; assesses patients potential for lethality.
- Must be able to sit majority of day during patient evaluation and psychotherapy sessions.
- This position, knows and complies with all Kaiser Permanente quality, safety, and emergency policies and procedures. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice in every interaction with patients, colleagues, providers, and leadership. Ensures patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care related to but not limited to medications, procedures, infection prevention, fall prevention, including consistent use of two patient identifiers and procedural time outs. Reports safety hazards, accidents and incidents, and unsafe working conditions promptly.

Basic Qualifications:Experience
- Minimum two (2) years post masters practice experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR Licensed Professional Counselor OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Education
- Masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology or an equivalent Masters degree.
- Professional Counselor License (Colorado) OR Licensed Social Worker (Colorado) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Colorado)
- National Provider Identifier required at hire
- For in-patient assignments - applicants must possess qualifications to be credentialed at inpatient facility.
