To learn more about Mission Technologies, click here for a short video: https://vimeo.com/732533072 Job Description Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies. Essential Job Responsibilities • Optimizes a product or system's performance and cost throughout its entire lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to use and disposal. • Assesses environmental and economic impacts, identifies areas for improvement, and implements changes to enhance sustainability and efficiency. • Collaborates with design, production, and product support teams to implement improvements that extend product supportability. Minimum Qualifications 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience. • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance. • Ability to analyze system requirements and develop engineering specifications • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering lifecycle phases • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical documentation Preferred Requirements • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like MagicDraw or Cameo • Prior experience working with military or aerospace platforms • Master’s degree in a technical discipline is a plus The listed salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities.
