Job Title: REC Therapist Location’s : Vacaville-CA Shift: 4/10s Mon-Thurs or Tues-Friday 8am-6pm Contract: 27 weeks / 40 guaranty hrs per week Salary: $60-$65 per hour on W2 Biweekly Pay – No Housing, No Airfare, No Stipends Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: 1. Minimum of twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years 2. National or CA state REC therapist License/Certificate 3. AHA BLS 4. CA sate Driver’s License 5. Develop and implement specialized recreation therapy services to facility Patient-Inmates and/or DJJ Youth. 6. Such therapeutic interventions are designed to promote social interaction, to encourage beneficial and appropriate utilization of leisure time, and to provide Patient-Inmates and/or DJJ Youth with preparation for reentry into general population or other levels of treatment. 7. Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) and coordinate services with primary clinicians, correctional counselors and other custody personnel. 8. Evaluate recreation therapy needs for Patients-Inmates and/or DJJ Youth with particular attention to activities of daily living, communication skills, physical exercise, and positive coping strategies.
