We are seeking dedicated and reliable substitute teachers to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Your responsibilities will include delivering lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a smooth continuation of the curriculum. Duties: • Provide instruction and guidance to students in the absence of the regular teacher • Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning • Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment • Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior management • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students • Collaborate with other staff members to support student success • Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during your assignment. • Complete all training required by TEA. Experience: • Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, tutoring, or related fields is preferred • Familiarity with math, literacy education, and lesson planning is beneficial • Experience working with students of various ages and abilities, including preschool and special education students, is a plus • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with students Qualifications: • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in education or related field is a plus • Ability to pass a background check • Strong writing, reading and communication skills in English • Strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline. • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different grade levels and subject areas. • Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
