The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in low voltage systems, including security, surveillance, and telecommunications. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various low voltage systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Duties • Install and maintain low voltage systems such as security alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, and telecommunication systems. • Conduct field service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing installations. • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repair of systems. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes. • Collaborate with clients to design customized security solutions based on their specific needs. • Perform regular inspections of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with NEC standards. • Provide training to clients on system operation and maintenance as needed. • Document all service calls, installations, and repairs accurately for record-keeping purposes. Skills • Proficient in computer networking principles and practices. • Strong mechanical knowledge related to low voltage systems. • Experience in field service operations with a focus on customer satisfaction. • Familiarity with computer hardware relevant to security systems. • Knowledge of system design principles for effective implementation of low voltage solutions. • Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), sensors, CCTV, fire alarm systems, and alarm system sales. • Ability to work with cabling infrastructure for various installations. • Understanding of locksmithing principles as they relate to security systems. • Competency in using remote access software for system monitoring and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with construction practices related to low voltage installations. • Knowledge of electrical experience relevant to low voltage applications.
