LTC Pharmacist

Medical Arts Long Term Care Pharmacy is a closed door pharmacy located in Mesa, AZ. We currently service Assisted living’s, Skilled nursing facilities, as well as Behavioral health group homes and are continuing to expand. We are seeking an energetic staff pharmacist to join our team both Part time and Full time positions. We have varying shifts available and are open from 6:30am to 10pm Monday-Friday and 7am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. We are looking for a Pharmacist with a flexible schedule and whom is eager to work in a small family environment. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate preparation of medications for final dispensing to the patient, including order entry, filling, and toting. • Review filled blister cards and unit dose strips to ensure prescriptions are filled correctly. • Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies, drug interactions, frequency of refills, etc. • Interpret prescription orders and exercise professional judgment in determining whether to dispense a particular prescription. • Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies as needed. • Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc. • Oversee technicians in Compounding IV's. • Dose IV medications per patient specific data. Requirements: Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of Arizona • Excellent Computer skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to problem solve, make decisions in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines • Software experience preferred yet not required (Framework, DocuTrack) • Prior pharmacy experience preferred Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $58.00 - $65.00 per hour Work Location: In person
