The Advertiser Planning, Forecasting and Recommendations team is responsible for building a suite of products that automate and enhance advertiser’s planning, buying experience as well as optimizing for advertiser value through traffic forecasting, bid recommendations, smart opportunities, creative automation, upsells and diagnostic tools. Some of the project highlights include:

• Driving automation and enhancement of advertiser experience at Reddit ads.
• Planning and forecasting based on real-time auction data, generating bid landscapes, reach, frequency, click and conversion volume estimates.
• Generate actionable insights and personalized recommendations throughout the lifecycle of a campaign that can be applied with the click of a button.
• Identify bid and budget upsell opportunities for daily active flights, and give advertisers actionable recommendations for boosting delivery results.
• Intelligent assistant to aid campaign creation including finding the right audiences to target, suggesting the right bid, budget, etc.

As a machine learning engineer in the Advertiser Planning, Forecasting and Recommendations team, you will work closely with technical leaders to build sophisticated machine learning based systems and applications to accurately predict the outcomes advertisers care about and guide them through actionable and insightful recommendations to elevate the performance of advertisers’ campaigns. 

You will play a key role in the entire development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation to data analysis, metric development, and ongoing monitoring. You will build intelligent applications and scalable systems to power advertiser automation and efficiency related efforts at Reddit. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure that our customers’ voices are represented in your work. 

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to take a critical role in building state-of-the-art advertiser optimization systems. You will serve as a key contributor to some of the most impactful monetization systems at Reddit.

Your Responsibilities:

• Building Reddit-scale optimizations to improve advertiser outcomes using cutting-edge techniques in the industry.
• Leverage live auction data and novel machine learning techniques to generate insights and recommendations to boost revenue and advertiser value.
• Build scalable applications that automate and enhance advertiser buying experience. 
• Writing maintainable code, building robust data pipelines, machine learning models and conducting rigorous analyses.
• Contribute data-driven insight to projects in your space. We give everyone a seat at the table and encourage active participation in planning for the future.

Who You Might Be:

• 2+ years of contributing high-quality code to production systems that operate at scale.
• Experience working with streamed and real time data.
• Experienced partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Experience working in online marketplaces or the ads domain is a plus.
