Machine Operator Details: • Temp-to-Hire position • $22.00 to $26.00 /hour • Full Time work available • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 05:00am to 01:30pm) • Set up, operate, and monitor rebar shearing equipment according to work orders and shop instructions. • Verify bar sizes, lengths, and batch requirements before cutting. • Select appropriate settings for bar size, cut length, and quantity. • • Load straight rebar stock safely onto the shear machine using hand tools, cranes, or hoists as required. • Remove cut bars and organize them for further fabrication (bending, bundling, etc.). Machine Operator Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous experience operating mechanical or automatic shearing machines, preferably in rebar fabrication environment. • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and tape measures or calipers. • Familiarity with different rebar sizes and industry standards. • Strong attention to detail and quality. • Commitment to safety protocols and teamwork. • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. • Willingness to be cross-trained on other fabrication equipment (shear, bender, etc.). • Applicant may be subject to a background check • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment • A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
