Machine Operator

Description: As a Machine Plant Equipment Operator, you will be operating the process equipment designed by Hayssen, Cryovac, Oliver, and Ossid to bag, wrap, and scale frozen food items. The Machine Operator will be responsible for running equipment designed for mixing, bagging, sealing, pumping, and filtration operations. This position will also perform typical GMP operations, including clean in place processes.Requirements: Preferred Skills: • Learn and operate processing equipment as directed by supervisor. Processes include bagger, mixer operation, and operation of pumping and filtration equipment. • Assign line worker’s daily tasks and communicate product production. Must be able to read processing specs and SOP’s for multiple products • Must maintain safe and orderly workspace and follow all personal protective equipment requirements. • Must communicate effectively with fellow operators, Supervisors, QA Technicians and maintenance regarding start up, shut down, product and process changes, and clean-ups. Must follow and support all safety guidelines/procedures. Must be able to function and work in a team environment. Must interact cordially with co-workers. Perform any other duties assigned. Education and preferred Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED preferred • 3-4 years’ experience preferred • Must be able to read, write & speak English and perform advanced math Shaw Family Seafood Co. is a Drug Free Workplace.
