Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CO2/Fiber Laser Engraving Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CO2 laser engraving machines to produce high-quality engraved and cut products according to design specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of laser operation, and a commitment to precision and efficiency.
Duties
β’ Operate and monitor CO2 and fiber laser engraving machines to engrave, cut, and mark a variety of materials.
β’ Prepare and load materials onto the laser bed, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning.
β’ Interpret and understand digital design files (e.g., .ai, .eps, .dxf, .cdr, .svg, .pdf) for proper laser setup.
β’ Adjust laser settings (power, speed, frequency, focal length, resolution) based on material type, thickness, and desired outcome to achieve optimal engraving/cutting results.
β’ Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser machines, including lens cleaning, mirror alignment, and exhaust system checks, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
β’ Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality standards.
β’ Identify and troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and perform basic repairs as needed.
β’ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
β’ Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures related to laser operation and material handling.
β’ Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize processes and resolve technical issues.
β’ Accurately track production data, including material usage and job completion times.
β’ Assist with other production tasks as needed.
Skills
β’ High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
β’ Experience operating laser engraving machines in a production environment is a plus but not required.
β’ Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
β’ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Good communication and organizational skills.
β’ Physical ability to lift and move materials as required (e.g., up to 50 lbs).
β’ Knowledge of safety procedures related to laser operation
