Machine Operator

SUMMARY Perform machine shop and roll forming press operations on the production floor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures. • Monitor production output and quality to meet specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Adhere to safety protocols. • Assist with finished products by using banders to bundle finished products. • May operate forklift or crane. • Assist with Break Press operations. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. • Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required. • Frequent communication with others to exchange information. • Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. • Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. • Frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. • Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. • Constantly thinking and processing information. • Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma, GED or equivalent. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. • Basic knowledge of the English language • Ability to read measurements accurately. • Basic math skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Standing for most of shift • Frequent walking, using hands and fingers to handle objects, tools and controls. • Frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching • Frequent use of close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and able to adjust focus. • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT • Working near moving mechanical parts.
