Machine Operator Burbank, CA Full time – Temp to hire Night Shift - 4x10s – Monday thru Thursday – 4pm to 2am $22hr to start Designer and manufacturer of custom insulated wire and cable is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team at their Burbank plant. Summary: Seeking a reliable and detail-orientedCable/Wire Production Machine Operatorto join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining wire and cable production machines to ensure the efficient and high-quality output of insulated, braided, or stranded wire and cable products. Responsibilities: • Set up and operate cable/wire production equipment such as extruders, stranders, bunchers, or take-up machines according to job specifications. • Monitor machine parameters (e.g., temperature, speed, tension) and adjust settings to maintain product quality. • Feed wire or raw materials into machinery and perform in-process inspections to ensure dimensional and visual conformance. • Load and unload reels or spools of wire; label and package finished product. • Conduct routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of machinery; report issues to maintenance or supervisors. • Read and interpret production orders, work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards. • Record production data, such as quantities, lot numbers, material usage, and machine performance. • Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S or other lean manufacturing standards. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Previous experience in cable, wire, or manufacturing machine operation preferred. • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to read and interpret measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, rulers). • Comfortable with standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive motions. • Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and team-oriented.
