Machine Operator II, 1st shift

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and safely. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.The Machine Operator II operates, leads and maintains one complex machine and/or different types of packaging machines including, Scales, Bagger/Filler, Indexer, Capper, Labeler, Case Packer/Maker, Sealers, Palletizers and/or a production line and ensures it is running efficiently and meeting all quality and production KPIs with minimum supervision. The person in this position also tracks performance data and communicates exceptions. Duties • Operate and monitor various types of machinery, including lathes and other machining equipment. • Assemble components and products according to specifications and quality standards. • Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure precision in production. • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity. • Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading using forklifts as needed. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to promote workplace safety. • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines effectively. Experience • Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing facility is preferred. • Familiarity with machining processes and materials handling is advantageous. • Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 60 pounds. • Experience operating forklifts is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided. • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
