About the Role
Firefly Earthworks is hiring a dependable Operator (Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm) to join our team in the Dallas area. This role is full-time from day one, brought on to meet our current project demands. After a few months, if workload continues and your performance meets expectations, there’s a strong possibility this position could become a permanent, long-term role. The pay will be determined on experience.
You’ll be operating excavators and skid steers on a variety of earthwork and utility jobs. Candidates must be able to read plans, set grades using a laser level, and follow safety and maintenance procedures. A valid driver’s license is required.

Key Resposibilities
• Safely and efficiently operate excavators and skid steers
• Perform basic daily maintenance checks on equipment
• Read and follow site plans, grades, and layouts
• Use a laser level to establish proper elevations and grades
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
• Work closely with foremen and crew to complete tasks on schedule
• Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience operating excavators and skid steers
• Proficient in reading site plans and using a laser level
• Solid understanding of equipment safety and maintenance protocols
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Able to work outdoors in various conditions
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
