Machine Operator

Position Summary: Responsible for safely operating machines and equipment in the production process. Essential Job Functions/Duties: • Operate packerhead machine/Besser • Ensure machine is clean and is in good working order – Before and After shift • Ensure quality of materials used in production (concrete, wire reinforcement) • Inspect wire cages / reinforcements • Supply machine with necessary components to make product • Meet production schedule numbers • Produce quality product • Be able to perform basic trouble shooting on production and machinery • Ability to coordinate needs with production team to successfully complete daily targets • Must maintain safe working environment for the machine and surrounding coworkers Required Qualifications: • 1+ year(s) packerhead experience • English language proficiency. Spanish is a plus • Computer knowledge / skills Preferred Qualifications: • Quick thinker / flexible / problem solver • Excellent time management skills • Work with coworkers and supervisors in meeting production goals Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: • Exposed to high levels of concrete dust. • Work outdoors but may on occasion work indoors. Temperatures may vary due to weather. • Regularly wear protective attire, such as hard hats and steel-toe boots. • Exposed to sound and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable. • Work in extremely bright or very dim lighting conditions. Shift/Hours Expectations • Mon – Fri (weekends when needed) • 50 - 60 hours/week Additional Notes: Job responsibilities include but are not limited to what is listed in this document.
