#LI-Skilled-01 Title: CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift Location: San Antonio, TX Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations. • Identify, produce, and gauge a variety of threads according to specifications. • Measure, mark, and indicate the dimensions and reference points on parts or materials to guide subsequent machining. • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and grinders. • Set controls to regulate machine factors like speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth/angle of cuts. • Start and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting machine controls as necessary. • Verify finished parts for conformance to specifications. • Perform routine daily maintenance and notify the supervisor of any equipment issues requiring attention. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet safety and quality standards. • Comply with all company policies, rules, guidelines, and behavior expectations. • Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Experience with Doosan (4 to 9 axis) CNC machines. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications, determining dimensions and tolerances. • Skilled in making N/C program changes. • Proficient with measuring tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, thread gauges, plug gauges, air gauges, and optical comparators. • Strong math skills, including the ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide. • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Required Education and Experience: • High School Diploma or GED. • Minimum of two years of hands-on CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, etc.). Preferred Qualifications: • Trade or technical school training in machining or related field. Physical Requirements: • Adhere to all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements. • Manual dexterity and the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and crouching. • Visual acuity required for precision machining and reading documents. • Ability to lift and exert force up to 50 pounds frequently, with team lifting for heavier items. • Frequent driving of motor vehicles or mobile equipment as needed.
