Machinist with CAD/CAM Design Experience – Design Synthesis Design Synthesis is seeking aMachinist Trainee with strong design skills and experience in AutoCAD and Fusion 360to join our quality-focused fabrication company. Who We're Looking For We’re looking for a candidate withhands-on machining knowledge and strong digital design capabilities, particularly inAutodesk Fusion 360 and AutoCAD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a creative, small-batch fabrication environment and wants to grow their technical and design expertise. Key Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to execute precise machining operations. • UseFusion 360to create and modify toolpaths for CNC milling machines (3-axis), and assist in CAM programming. • Generate, read, and reviseAutoCAD drawingsto support production needs. • Operate and maintain CNC milling machines (Fadal experience is a plus). • Collaborate with the team to improve workflows, processes, and part designs. • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools. Qualifications • Hands-on familiarity withFusion 360or other CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, etc.). • Proficiency inAutoCADor related CAD software. • Understanding of machining processes, fixturing concepts, and G-code fundamentals. • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting preferred. • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. • Ability to visualize in 3D space and model in Cartesian coordinates. • Interest in both the design and fabrication sides of the manufacturing process.
