Machinist

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of materials, including plastics. The Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC machines, including Mazatrol systems, to fabricate parts according to specifications. • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accuracy. • Perform electrical discharge machining (EDM) as needed for specific projects. • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements. • Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. • Proficiency in using Mazatrol programming and CAM programming software is preferred. • Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations. • Experience with plastics injection molding is an advantage. • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics. • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
