Machinist- CNC-3D CAD experience

Position Opening within a West Chester based Small Machine shop (3600 sq ft), manufacturing in-house prototyping and short production runs for our billet enclosures, with end use within the Defense Industry. Required: Previous Fanuc programing experience, both G-code and Conversational. Working with a 3D program to generate portable G code to the Milling center Machines you will be working on: Band saw Drill Press Tapping center Lathe CNC Bed Mill-Prototrak CNC Machining Center re Tormach 1100 CNC Machining Center DNM Solutions 4100 Laser Engraver-30W CO2 for marking and cutting Qualifications: • Proven experience as a machinist in a manufacturing or production environment. • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for design, modeling, and technical drawing interpretation. • Strong knowledge of metrology techniques and tools for precision measurement. • Hands-on experience with machine maintenance and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with shop safety protocols and inspection procedures. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Most operations are 2-1/2 axis but should know how to program in 3 axis. Applicant should have 10 yrs of machine shop experience and be well versed in feeds and speeds, material properties, machine setup and G-code fundamentals. Applicant should have their own transportation and be able to be ontime every day. Applicant should be able to pass a drug test. Incumbent will be the sole person in the air conditioned shop and will manage all aspects of this role.
