Machinist

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and the ability to operate various machinery and tools with precision. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet our stringent specifications. Duties • Set up, operate and maintain machining equipment including CNC, manual mills, saws, presses, drill and other equipment. • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances of machined parts. • Perform basic math calculations for measurements, offsets, and tool adjustments. • Conduct routine maintenance on machines, including troubleshooting issues, making necessary repairs and programming. • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency. • Design and craft fixtures to improve volume and productivity where appropriate. • Read, understand, and communicate blueprint detail. Skills • Proficient in operating CNC machinery. • Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques, including the use of various tools and equipment. • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. • Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. • Experience with welding processes is a plus but not mandatory. • Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment is essential.
