Machinist

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and be proficient in operating various CNC machines. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality components while adhering to safety standards and maintaining equipment. Responsibilities • Operate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. • Program CNC machines using Fanuc and CAM programming software. • Utilize GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurements and tolerances. • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documentation. • Perform setups, adjustments, and maintenance on machining equipment. • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. • Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with specifications. • Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and lean manufacturing initiatives. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols. Skills • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe and milling machines. • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes. • Experience with SolidWorks, CAD software, and electrical discharge machining is preferred. • Familiarity with tooling, hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and plastics injection molding is advantageous. • Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of forklift operation is a plus.
