Machinist - Swiss Machines

Job Description Centrix Inc. is a world-class manufacturer of precision machined fasteners, latches and other aerospace components.We're privately owned, about 35 employees, and creating elegant solutions for Boeing, Airbus and other aerospace companies. Our state-of-the-art 58,000 square foot facility is located in Kent, Washington. We have invested extensively in advanced technologies and state-of-the-art equipment.We're looking for people who want to be part of a team, who focus on quality, who like to innovate and who want to grow with the company. Currently, we’re seeking machinists to operate Swiss machines and manufacture our Bilok(tm) fasteners. We work 10 hour shifts, four days a week. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Run Swiss machines efficiently to maximize production. · Load bars and tools as needed. · Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required. · Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. · Ability to work in a team environment. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS · Working with tenth tolerances. · Capable of reading mechanical drawings. · Familiar with a variety of measuring instruments. Micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc. · Demonstrated oral communication skills. · Excellent problem solving skills.
