Mainframe Lead Developer

Infosys is seeking a Mainframe Lead Developer with Cobol, JCL and DB2 experience. The position will primarily be responsible for providing solutions on the Builder Parts - Service systems / processes as per customer's requirements. The selected candidate be able to Lead requirements elicitation, Create of Application Architecture Document (AAD), Create of Design Artifacts, Review team deliverables, Deliver High quality codes, Support Deployment and Post deployment related activities, Support Transition activities, Interface with internal team and key stakeholders and analyze and resolve issues to ensure high quality deliverables at each stage of SDLC within the defined guidelines, policies and Norms.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology
• At least 4 years of experience leading application development team.
• At least 3 years of Mainframe Development experience.
• At least 3 years of Technology lead experience leading Mainframe projects / team.

• Demonstrated experience with Waterfall, Agile or other rapid application development methods.
• Demonstrated experience with Mainframe - JCL, COBOL, DB2, IMS DB, IMS DC Stored procs, MQ Series, SYNCSORT required.
• Ability to effectively communicate across third parties, technical, and business product managers on solution design.
• Demonstrate good testing skills on Mainframe Batch and Online applications.
• Automotive Industry experience is a plus.
• Develops deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains.
• Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems.
• Experience with web services and Open API development, as well as SOA concepts, is a plus.
  Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative technologies.
• Looks beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Capable of adapting to modern technologies and learning new tools and applications and Flexible as per the project need.
• Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, self-motivated, quick learner and team player.
