High school diploma or the equivalent with coursework in shop, science, mathematics and blueprint and equipment schematics reading is required. 2. Successfully completed an electrician apprentice program required. 3. A minimum of five years' experience as an electrician required. Experience in a health care or comparable institutional setting preferred. 4. Maintains a valid driver s license and safe driving record. 5. Working knowledge of building and life safety codes with specific knowledge of city, state and national electric codes for health care occupancies required. 6. Knowledge of and practices personal safety, hospital infection control and life safety procedures required. Utilizes personal protection equipment, including: eyesight, respiratory and hearing protective devices.
