Electrical (E&I) Technician Mechanic

Sofidel Tissue, a key player in tissue manufacturing, is seeking a dedicatedElectrical (E&I) Technician Mechanicto join our team. This critical role ensures the maintenance and optimization of electrical functions across our machines and equipment, particularly in the converting area, to support seamless operations and maximum productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Lead and promote safe work practices, striving for a zero-injury workplace.
•
Perform electrical construction tasks such as conduit installation, wire pulling, and electrical terminations in compliance with NEC Code.
•
Install, configure, and troubleshoot control systems, including photo eyes, proximity switches, PLCs, and motor control centers up to 2300V.
•
Calibrate and maintain transmitters (e.g., pressure, flow, temperature) and troubleshoot complex control systems.
•
Operate and maintain test equipment, including meggers, oscilloscopes, and motor analyzers.
•
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance using ultrasonic and infrared analysis tools.
•
Assist with systems integration and programming of PLCs, DCS, and HMIs.
•
Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety policies and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
•
Participate in safety investigations and contribute to identifying and addressing root causes.
•
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Requirements:
•
High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical degree preferred.
•
Nevada state electrical journeyman’s license preferred.
•
Minimum 3 years of electrical experience or 2 years of related education in lieu of experience.
•
Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting preferred.
•
Experience with computerized maintenance systems and packaging equipment in manufacturing preferred.
•
Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE, etc.).
•
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
•
Familiarity with machinery such as Perini and ChinLee rewinders and Infinity wrappers preferred.
•
Forklift certification and welding/machining experience are a plus.
•
Physical ability to work in environments with temperature extremes, loud noise, and exposure to steam, oil, and dust.
•
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and heavier weights with team assistance or crane support.
•
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
