What you’ll do
Be part of a crucial team, responsible for the ongoing financial health and performance of the business.
- Preparation of timely and accurate monthly & year-end management accounting, analysis & reporting aligned with WPP policiesÂ
- Preparation of variance analysis and monthly commentary.Â
- Provide input into monthly management reports and ad hoc reportingÂ
- Ensure that the required evidence is maintained for month end accounting aligned with IFRS and SOX controlsÂ
- Ensure that at month end close all finance systems (Maconomy, Sugar and SAP Cartesis) are reconciledÂ
- Review of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations prepared by Financeplus and ensure ageing or reconciling balances are actively managed and resolvedÂ
- Management of accruals and prepayments schedules including substantiation of each individual balanceÂ
- Preparation of statutory / regulatory returns such as, accounts, VAT, PSA, P11d and R&D Tax Credit preparationÂ
- Review of Balance Sheet to ensure any risks are minimised/escalated as necessaryÂ
- Work with Maconomy support team to get the best reports from the system to assist the businessÂ
- Assist with budget and forecast cycleÂ
- Develop and drive system processes and controls in ensuring compliance with relevant SOX controlsÂ
- Review and approval of vendor set-upÂ
What you’ll need
- Part Qualified/Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)Â
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced ExcelÂ
- Experience working with finance system, preferably MaconomyÂ
- A strong understanding of IFRSÂ
- Strong experience of SOX controls requiredÂ
- Strong technical knowledge of P&L and Balance sheetÂ
