Manager, Accounting

From accounting and financial planning to risk/fraud analysis and payments, our Finance team ensures not only our company's financial security, but also that our customers can buy from us with confidence.

Why this job's a big deal:

Accounting Manager will serve as an integral member of the General Ledger team in ensuring the accurate and timely submission of Priceline results as well as ensuring appropriate controls around the related processes. The successful candidate will possess the communication skills and business insight vital to interact with multiple teams within Priceline and Booking Holdings (Parent Company).

In this role you will get to:

• In conjunction with the Director of Accounting, own an accurate and timely month-end close and related financial reporting
• Responsible for the preparation of journal entries for more sophisticated areas including performance marketing and deferred revenue, among others
• Responsible for the reconciliation of certain balance sheet accounts; including the resolution of reconciling items on a timely basis.
• Supervise and support a team of accountants, including the review of journal entries and reconciliations
• Assist the team through multiple system integrations encouraged over the next year
• Assist with detailing and performing internal controls and ensuring they are optimally maintained for assigned tasks
• Responsible for analyzing and reviewing specific accounts and providing robust commentary on these fluctuations as well as reviewing the team's explanations, ensuring appropriateness of commentary
• Partner with our financial planning and analysis team, helping them understand our results and explaining variances to plan/forecast
• Assist with interim and year-end audit procedures
• Recommend improvements to the efficiency of accounting processes and timeliness of results
• Assist with requests from the Priceline GL team, risk and controls, internal audit, and Booking Holdings, Inc. among other ad hoc requests

Who you are:

• 8+ years of related professional experience, must preferably within a $1B+ public company and/or Big 4 accounting firm
• BS in a related field (accounting, finance, econ, business administration) required, MBA preferred
• CPA or CPA qualified
• Supervisory experience, including coaching and mentoring members of the team either directly or indirectly
• Experience with BlackLine, Oracle, OneStream and SAP S/4 HANA desired, Excel proficiency required
• Consistent record to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Thrive in an ambitious setting and take ownership of assigned work

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $105000-$130000
