This role is eligible for our five-day flex office work model.

From accounting and financial planning to risk/fraud analysis and payments, our Finance team ensures not only our company's financial security, but also that our customers can buy from us with confidence.

Why this job's a big deal:

This hands-on, high-potential accounting professional will work closely with the Assistant Controller and will be a key player in leading the company's accounting function. This person will serve as the key point of contact for technical questions and central initiatives throughout Priceline. This is a highly visible role and will help to ensure the company maintains a strong controlled environment as well as develop talent among the group.

In this role you will get to:

• Responsible for various functions within the accounting department including participating in the monthly-close process, which includes preparing and reviewing journal entries
• Responsible for understanding and analyzing all assigned accounts and explain variances supporting these fluctuations
• Partner with our FP&A team in researching and investigating areas of unusual or significant activity
• Responsible for the review of several of Priceline's key balance sheet reconciliations identifying potential risks and improvement opportunities
• Serve as a key contact and handle results in our consolidation platform ensuring our results are accurately being reported as well as the completion of all open items.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures over platform accounting activities and assist in the design and implementation of new controls and processes
• Collaborate with other members of the organization to help identify and streamline efficiency opportunities and providing our partners various information as requested in a timely manner
• Play pivotal role in finance transformation and modernization efforts including system implementations and functional optimization

Who you are:

• 6+ years total experience, ideally with 1+ year as an accounting manager of a global, public company
• BS in a related field, CPA preferred
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Blackline and OneStream desired
• Ability to perform research on complex accounting matters
• Strong analytical background, strong problem-solving skills, and sound decision maker
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inform, collaborate, and influence across organizations.
• Experience working in an environment requiring quick turn around and in-depth financial analysis
• Good organizational and work management skills with the ability to lead and track multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
• Proven ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others as well as work well with people at a wide range of levels
