We are seeking a Manager, Acquisition Project Management that focuses on operational execution for acquisitions of self-storage properties and partnering with Business Operations to execute on capital improvement projects post-acquisition. Youβll manage timelines, budgets, and internal stakeholders to ensure each project aligns with our brand standards and operational goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, acquisition-heavy environment and enjoys turning vision into reality.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
β’ Lead due diligence efforts ensuring each department is on time with their key deliverables
β’ Oversee project execution from planning to closeout, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
β’ Examine existing processes to identify redundancies, delays, and non-value-added steps, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement
β’ Provide leadership to an acquisition team coordinator
β’ Track project status using tools like Smartsheet and Yardi
β’ Prepare regular reports for leadership on project status and performance
β’ Other duties as assigned
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
β’ 5+ years of experience in acquisitions, project management, or asset management
β’ Strong financial acumen and experience with underwriting and investment analysis
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and project management tools
β’ Excellent communication skills
β’ Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi) is an asset
β’ Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-departmental relationships
β’ Creative problem-solving skills, and a detail-oriented mindset.
β’ Passion for real estate and an interest in the operational aspects of self-storage facilities.
β’ Ability to adapt to evolving priorities, meet tight deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
