About the role
The Manager, Advanced TV Media Activation is a new role on a dynamic client team, and is focused on providing on-going campaign level thought-leadership around the growing Advanced TV landscape. This client-facing role will be interfacing with publishers, platforms, and technology vendors to create linkages between emerging media and measurement capabilities, and work closely with Essence’s VP of Advanced TV to define on-going strategy across a range of Advanced TV planning/buying/measurement solutions.Â
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
- Work with media partners and platforms to better understand targeting and measurement capabilities
- Work closely with the client and client service team to provide on-going thought leadership around advanced TV strategy and execution
- Manage scorecard development and maintain updated client specific platform briefs Â
- Join regular internal and client calls to ensure management of on-going client campaign development Â
- Negotiate media supply and measurement offerings with media sellers and tech vendors Â
- Evaluate new media supply sources and provide client-specific competitive intel and use cases for new supply Â
- Work closely with the client planning and activation teams to ensure that Advanced TV campaigns connect to broader marketing and measurement needs
A bit about yourself:
- Approximately 3-4 years experience in media technology (either agency or vendor side)
- Deep understanding of Advanced TV landscape including Data-Driven Linear, Addressable, and CTV/OTT. A technical understanding of ad serving and measurement workflows is desirable.Â
- Experience working in DSP platforms (e.g. DBM, Trade Desk, AppNexus, Amazon), or with SSP/Ad Exchange platforms (e.g. AdX, Rubicon). Experience with reservation-based buying, including vendor management and negotiation and IO handling a plus.
- Knowledge of challenges for Advanced TV & video in programmatic - e.g. SDK, VPAID/VAST, measurement and dataÂ
- A passion for everything digital, with an active interest and understanding of online advertising industry trends
- Strong understanding of optimization levers & testing approaches across media buying platforms would be desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are particularly important in developing client relationships and maintaining efficient communication across the team
- Great analysis skills (including quantitative analysis) and confidence in making information-based decisions
- Adept at working within a team and partnering across teams
