Manager, Continuous Improvement - Stryker Anngrove

Position Summary:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead projects dedicated to improving operational productivity and processes at the Anngrove manufacturing facility. The key responsibility of this role will be to manage the transformational initiative to reduce costs and to identify and implement process improvements in all areas of the manufacturing process. This will require leading a direct team and cross-functional teams as well as managing projects designed to achieve the lowest overall costs and improve processes using Lean Methodology.

What you will do:

  • Drive the development, assessment, recommendations, and implementation of continuous improvement/re-engineering initiatives to simplify processes, eliminate waste, reduce operational risk and achieve cost efficiencies in the manufacturing process.
  • Lead multiple Kaizen Events around improving site performance and KPIs.
  • Develop a customer-focused CI framework that documents and monitors performances. Support initiatives through robust data driven analytics.
  • Train, coach, and mentor designated teams and individuals within the business on Lean concepts and support the business to meet/exceed budgets.
  • Provides management support to remove barriers and facilitate conflict resolution in matrix organization.
  • Tracks and measures the CI program through leveraging the Stryker Production System and visual factory dashboards.
  • Responsible for the Operations Training Team to support the growth volumes for Additive.
  • Identify, manage, and drive cost improvement initiatives measured in dollars saved across the business.
  • Partners with local management to define relevant process KPI's including ownership and variable that serve as the KPI inputs.
  • Provides management support to remove barriers and facilitate conflict resolution in matrix organization.
  • Tracks and measures the CI program through leveraging the Stryker Production System and visual factory dashboards.

What you will need:

  • High energy and a change management mindset
  • Level 8 bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Business Operations.
  • Management experience of functional teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean Leader/Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Project Management skills (certification preferred).
  • 4-7 years' experience with defining and executing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • 3-5 years' experience in the medical device industry.
  • Ability to work in team-oriented environment and creating strong alliances.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience and track record of success in the rollout of continuous improvement programs at the division level.
  • A true change agent who can lead diverse groups across the organization in implementing new programs and ideas.
