Job Description

Team Summary

The Corporate Communications team in India and South Asia (INSA) is a strategic, high performing function with its primary role to advance and protect Visa’s reputation and drive growth in the markets we serve. The team reports to the Head of Corporate Communications, INSA, and further into Visa’s Asia Pacific and Global Corporate Communications function, that oversees all corporate communications at Visa Inc. including media relations, public affairs, employee communications, crisis and issues management.

The INSA Communications team is based out of Visa’s Corporate India office at Mumbai, India, with the responsibility to create and deliver communication programs to drive business growth and enhance Visa’s reputation across India and South Asia (INSA) markets, serving the cluster of markets comprising India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Maldives and Bhutan.

We seek a high-performing candidate, skilled at communications and with a keen interest in the dynamic and complex digital payments and financial services industry. Agility and thinking creatively are a must to excel in this role. The role may require you to travel from to time, based on business needs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working in the Communications function to develop communication strategies to support Visa’s business objectives in line with Visa’s values.
  • Driving end-to-end campaign delivery, execution of communication plans.
  • Content development across multiple forms of media (such as fact sheets, press releases, white papers, research reports, digital and social media, videos, etc).
  • Employee communications supporting Visa’s GCC at Bengaluru as well as, at Mumbai, as appropriate, with the purpose of delivering leadership messages to sustain Visa’s high trust and growth environment.
  • Engaging with diverse stakeholders through cross-functional collaboration including employees, partners, media and agencies, as required, to support employee communications needs of Visa’s GCC and supporting teams on Communications guidelines and protocols.
  • Creating opportunities for leaders to create a positive profile in social media and industry platforms, and ensuring spokespeople are briefed to deliver key messages.
  • Sustaining CSR and social-impact programs and Volunteering @Visa efforts to strengthen Visa’s inclusive impact and reputation among internal and external stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    What you will need:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Business or Management. Master’s in Business or Communications is not mandatory but preferable.
    • 5 - 8 years of Communications experience at an in-house client or agency
    • Knowledge of payments ecosystem and expertise in delivering communication projects and managing media and announcements end-to-end
    • Excellent verbal communication, including interpersonal, writing, editing and presentation skills
    • Creative, curious, agile and a proactive growth mindset with a bias for action and adaptability
    • Passionate about technology, financial services, banking and/or retail industries
