Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Essential Functions:

The Manager Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) will be responsible for supporting and partnering with the Global and Regional Support Functions. This individual will directly report to the Head of FP&A in all aspects of FP&A, including planning and budgeting cycles, management reporting, business partnering, financial systems, processes development, and ad-hoc analytics.  

• Partner and lead meetings with Business Heads, supporting them in developing and achieving financial goals and objectives for their functions
• Support Global and Regional budgeting/forecasting cycle requirements
• Help to define, execute, and manage long and short-term models and forecasts for expenses and capital
• Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual Management Reporting
• Consolidate NA Financials, prepare reports and presentations; enter/upload data in systems as needed
• Support Accounting by driving and supporting the monthly/quarterly accrual process
• Provide accurate and timely support of purchase requisition and invoice requirements for supported teams in accordance with Procurement and AP processes.
• Ensure integrity of financial data by regularly reviewing and reconciling data shared between key financial applications used within the function

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
• CPA or MBA preferred

Experience

• Pharmaceutical experience required
• 5+ years of FP&A, financial auditing, consulting or operations experience with significant exposure to business partnering
• Sound technical accounting knowledge

Technical Skills

• Excellent IT skills and abilities – current systems include Microsoft Dynamics 365, Tagetik

Non-Technical Skills

• Team player and entrepreneurial mindset, with an ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment
• Able to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines  
• Strict adherence to deadlines can involve “after hours” working, to support Japanese and affiliate (US and European) communications
