About the RoleÂ
Reporting to the Head of Logistics, this role will develop, implement, and manage the physical distribution Ecom process across our global network of DC’s. The position will develop a masterplan of our DC locations. The Ecom process will be based on the SLA agreed with the business Ecom team ensuring consistent service levels, quality, cost, and high consumer experience and satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities Â
- Lead the design and delivery of a superior end-to-end consumer DTC experience from order placement to last mile delivery
- Build and optimize an agile global strategy and network of DCs to support acceleration and high growth sales channel
- Drive SLA framework in partnership with Digital Experience and Ecommerce team
- Oversee the warehousing and distribution of products, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and efficient shipping and receiving processes.
- Partner with B2B logistics managers worldwide to ensure B2B and B2C businesses are synchronized and run efficiently.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, including on-time delivery, order accuracy and transportation cost, and develop plans to address any issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Ecommerce, demand planning and customer service, to optimize the customer experience and resolve any logistics-related issues.
- Manage logistics budgets and negotiate contracts with transportation and warehousing providers to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends and opportunities for optimizing shipping costs and reducing waste.
- Control 3PL invoicing accuracy and reconciliation, analyze and report any discrepancy.
- Develop and implement packaging and shipping guidelines to ensure that all products are packaged efficiently and securely to reduce damage and returns.
Qualifications Â
- 10+ years of progressively responsible corporate Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or Procurement leadership (beauty/cosmetics industry preferred)
- 3+ years of management experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment (beauty/cosmetics industry preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing, logistics, process mapping, and project management techniques are highly valued
- Multi-site experience required; global experience is a plus
- Customer service experience (with retailers / distribution affiliates) is a plus
- Must be capable of, and experienced in, working independently as well as with different functional areas (operations, purchasing, logistics, finance, marketing, and customer service)
- Ability to develop reporting, define KPIs and SLAs, and manage 3PLs to those metrics
- Existing 3PL relationships and prior experience with 3PL vendor management, contract management, and contract negotiation skills preferred
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, networking, and written communications skills.
- Must be a positive team player and be prepared to work and travel as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.Â
At Orveon Global, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.Â
The pay range for this position is $69,000 – $111,000.Â
The range listed is just one component of Orveon’s total compensation package for employees.
