Job Description

As the Manager of the PPI Business System at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a global scale. Join our team in Monterrey, Mexico, where you will lead a small team of continuous improvement experts that supports our Lab Plastics Essentials manufacturing. Responsibilities:

• Work together with functional leaders to improve daily business operations through the introduction of measures for performance assessment and the implementation of effective evaluation methods.
• Lead and facilitate a wide range of lean tools within the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System framework, including standard work, value stream mapping, error-proofing, and more.
• Cultivate a workplace culture that values constant development and harnesses talent to accomplish business objectives.
• Achieve monthly savings targets by effectively managing continuous improvement projects.
• Educate employees in continuous improvement tools and thinking to improve efficiency and ensure sustainable processes.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience driving continuous improvement within a lean program.
• BS/BA degree.
• Proficient computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on coaching and influencing others.
• A sincere belief in the viability of continuous improvement and the ability to communicate and demonstrate this to others.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Equivalent experience or advanced degree/certification in relevant areas.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a regulated industry and familiarity with lean concepts and tools.
