Job Description

ULTRA MOBILE is seeking a talented Manager, Retention & CRM Insights to join our Marketing Team! Individual reports to VP, Retention Marketing. Role is remote - must reside in the United States. 

Ideal Candidate Must Have:  Strong SQL skills in covering QA, data hygiene, basic data extraction and joins, and demonstrated ability to simplify and normalize the data for analytical staging. Strong technical skills in data quering and analysis with experience in SQL, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, Python, as well as data visualization platforms experience: Google Data Studio/Looker Studio, or Power BI. 

Demonstrated experience with analytic tools such as: Google 360/GA 4, Adobe, SEO/SEM search.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This newly created role will report to the Vice President, CRM and Retention and provide strategic insights, forecasting, optimization and marketing performance analysis and insights. We are seeking an organized and innovative individual to be the subject matter expert on measurement, reporting and technology. In this role, you will oversee the execution of marketing analysis across programs, campaigns, segments and channels while monitoring trends to make strategic recommendations. 

Your usual day of awesomeness includes: 

  • Develop creative analytics approaches and oversee the development of innovative predictive analytics, modeling, data enrichment and customer segmentation that lead to more impactful and cost-efficient CRM operations (Frequency/Recency & Customer value management.
  • Proven ability to build accurate short range and long range subscriber metric forecasts.
  • Analyze performance of marketing strategies and other data sets to drive optimizations.
  • Deliver innovative and data-driven marketing insights to help inform integrated approaches.
  • Design and establish measurement framework and KPIs to demonstrate the success of marketing tactics.
  • Drive organizational alignment and adoption on customer data metrics and marketing attribution methodologies. 
  • Regularly deliver reports that interpret analytics, provide meaningful insights and actionable recommendations. 
  • Full funnel customer journey analytics architect (360 Degrees of customer interaction & measured outcomes including target, reach, penetration, experience, conversion, and optimization. 
  • Presentation skills to clearly communicate arguments, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership. 
  • Experience working with both technical and business teams (Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Engineering) in order to build the key deliverables and to provide an integrated point of view. 
  • Technical skills in data querying, exploration, and analysis through different platforms and technologies (e.g. SQL, Excel, Tableau, R, Python). 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience with either CRM, eCommerce (dealing with personal data) and/or Digital Analytics (ie: Google 360, Adobe digital analytics, SEO/SEM search) is required. 
  • 2+ years of applied SQL experience covering QA, data hygiene, basic data extraction and joins, and demonstrated ability to simplify and normalize the data for analytical staging
  • Strong commerce experience using data visualization platforms (e.g., Google data studio, Tableau, Excel, PowerBI) is required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred. 
  • Passionate about learning, problem-solving, and leveraging data to inform how integrated marketing campaigns are deployed across channels to drive key business outcomes. 
  • Understanding of a marketing funnel and how to align campaign strategies with customer journeys. 
  • Strategic problem solver with big picture orientation who has ability to zoom in and zoom out. 
  • Good initiator with a natural curiosity of how things work and intuitive on "why"/"how" we can improve. 
  • Organized, with an innate attention to detail, and can execute tasks efficiently and effectively. 
  • Meticulous review of all deliverables that builds organizational trust and confidence in analytics and reporting results. 
  • Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced environment and pushing through ambiguity. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple analytics projects and work streams. 
  • Brings a commitment and enthusiasm to work within a dynamic organization.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $110,000 - $130,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.  We also offer a variety of benefits including health, disability insurance, 401 (k), flexible spending accounts, EAP, education reimbursement, parental leave, unlimited vacation, bonuses, and company paid holidays.  The specific programs available will vary depending on state, start date, and employment type.
