The L'Oreal Paris Brand Engagement Team is looking for a creative, strategic and consumer centric social media marketer to build and manage our owned/earned social & content strategy. This person should understand how to use analytics and insights to build a strategy that increases brand rank and drives brand love. This person should be on the pulse of all social and digital trends to help inform breakthrough creative concepts. The manager will have one direct report, JMA Social and Content who will assist in the execution of the social strategy.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Under direction of AVP, Brand Engagement, this person will develop L'Oreal Paris' content and channel strategy, inclusive of proper posting cadence and clear brand tone of voice for all owned social media channels including current priority platforms: TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Work closely with BE Team & Category Social Leads to create a social calendar that includes all cross-category priorities & brand tentpole moments and propose content ideas to fill social content gaps
  • Support Social Leads in briefing Content Factory and/or outside vendor as needed for social content shoots
  • Work in lockstep with A&I leads to develop social plans surrounding trips/events, activations and tentpole moments to optimize influencer content and develop brand assets
  • Produce reactive content for identified social trends and SEO needs based on insight through tools - Netbase, Traackr, RivalIQ, Sprinklr
  • Work in lockstep with our CCC team to oversee the execution of our community management strategy inclusive of social moderation, engagement & advocacy tactics
  • Adapt DMI social guidelines & tone of voice to fit the needs of US-managed platforms
  • Collaborate with DMI to optimize global assets with a US consumer centric lens
  • Oversee UGC creator content strategy to be used on owned social platforms. Oversee all outreach, briefs, contracting & payment
  • Review social post captions and oversee JMA in development of UGC strategy, ensuring proper permissions are received and documented
  • Assist Senior Managers in dissecting and reporting back on DBPI, CoolIQ, etc. specific to owned social numbers
  • Analyze results from MIM, RivalIQ, Netbase

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years professional experience
  • In-depth knowledge/experience with all major social media platforms
  • Experience in social photography, graphic design and image editing from a social-first perspective
  • Experience in managing influencer content feedback and deliverables
  • Beauty experience is a plus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Social video production experience a plus
  • Strong writing skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • High level of organization, attention to detail and positive attitude
