Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a talented professional to join the Missile Defense Solutions E&S team in Boulder, Colorado as a Systems Engineering Functional Manager Level 2 managing a team of Systems Engineers and/or Software Engineers.

What You'll get to Do:
This is a dual role encompassing both functional management and technical performance within a program. The program role will focus on project leadership with responsibility for project and staffing planning, control account management, team/subcontractor leadership, status reporting (internal and external) and overall project execution. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. He/she will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading engineering teams.
Job Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 8 years experience; Master's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience; in Systems, Software or a related field; PhD and 4 years of experience

Possess strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in an environment with multiple, often conflicting requirements and priorities

Must be experienced in all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle

Project scheduling and budget experience (Earned Value Management)

This position requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance to start

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a relevant technical or management specialty

Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Defense System

Program and Proposal management experience

Direct supervisory experience and/or significant team leadership

Agile development experience

Salary Range: *$156,500 - $234,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
