Manual Machinist

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team, to operate a manual knee type milling machine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, with experience in operating various manual machines and power tools. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. As a Manual Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet our stringent standards. Duties • Operate manual knee type milling machine, manual lathe is a plus and other machining equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications. • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions of machined parts. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand machining requirements. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles. • Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise during production. • Utilize hand tools and power tools, as necessary for various machining tasks. Skills • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing processes. • Ability to perform basic math calculations related to machining tasks. • Experience with tooling setup and maintenance for various machining operations. • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency in the production environment.
