Manual Machinist

Luxor Staffing is hiring a Manual Machinist starting at $26 per hour with 1st shift available. Weekly pay, possible overtime, optional direct deposit, benefits from day 1 on the job and much more! • 1st shift (6 am-2:30 pm) DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: • Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements. • Identify, produce and gauge a variety of straight and taper threads, including Acme and buttress. • Measure, mark and otherwise indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material to be used as guides for subsequent machining. • Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines to include mills, lathes and grinders. • Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut. • Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust the machine controls or control media as necessary. Requirements: • Requires a one-year certificate from a college or technical school with experience operating Weiler machines or relevant machinery. • Mori Seki with Fanuc controls Threading experience should include: • API.. ie. Rotary shoulder connections, buttress..etc. • Stub Acme • Acme • 8 round 10 round tapered connections • Must have set up experience • Ability to read and understand g-code • Ability to read and run canned cycles • Own toolbox and tools • Must be able to accurately program and set up machine tools within Weiler Sinumerik operating system. #IND456 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Vision insurance Schedule: • Day shift • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
