Manual Machinist This is a Day & night shift position hours: Day 6:00am -3PM + overtime; Night-3pm-11pm + overtime! Responsibilities: Set up and operate all manual machining and grinding processes. These machines include • Conventional lathes • VTL’s • Milling machines • Cylindrical, spherical, surface and planetary grinding equipment • Drill presses • Interpretation of blueprints and mechanical drawings • Advanced machining skills on complex component geometries • Input into the setup and processing of more complex part times • Technical supervision of lower machinist class levels • Some mentorship and training of lower-level machinists & others as required by the work type Qualifications: • This role expects that the individual can work with no supervision • Must know machinability of materials as well as advanced setup techniques • Must be able to troubleshoot ups and processes • Understand mathematics (trigonometry, geometry, etc.) principles • Be able to calculate & set controls to regulate machining factors, such as speeds, feeds, depth and angle of cut LANGUAGE SKILLS: English (required) Requirements: Background Urine Drug Screen This is a Day & night shift position hours: Day 6:00am-3pm + overtime; Night 3pm-11pm + overtime!
