Manual Machinist

POSITION SUMMARY Performs setup, calibration, maintenance and operations on a variety of machining equipment including lathes, grinders, milling machines, and hydraulic presses to assemble and/or disassemble and repair components. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Assemble, disassemble, and repair components for hydraulic cylinder repair. • Operate lathe and mill saws. • Maintain equipment. • Able to read drawings to manufacture needed parts. • Knowledge and use of calibration equipment. • Adhere to standard operating procedures including quality, safety and environmental. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – SKILLS AND ABILITIES Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas: • Ability to understand the proper use of hand tools. • Knowledge of lifting devices. • Ability to setup tooling and equipment for assigned jobs. • Ability to follow written and oral procedures. • Work within established safety and quality standards.
