Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various manual machining equipment to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. • Use tools and specialty measuring devices and equipment. • Fabricate parts by setting up and running manual lathes, mills, and other manual machining equipment. • Work on multiple manual lathes and milling machines making different iron, steel, stainless steel, copper and aluminum parts • Make modifications to parts from different specifications and different kind of threads, etc • Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for quality control and inspection of finished products. • Select and install appropriate tooling for various machining tasks. • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste. • Assemble machined components into final products, ensuring adherence to quality standards. QUALIFICATIONS: • 10 + years of experience operating manual lathes and milling machines. • Ability to fabricate and modify metal and plastic components. • Proficient in reading blueprints. • Experience interpreting tolerances and using precision measuring instruments. • Experience using calipers and micrometers. • Strong background in setup, tool maintenance, and quality inspection in high-tolerance environments. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
