Manuel Machinist

Salary:$30 - 35 per hour + Medical. Dental. Vision Reference:399072 Key Responsibilities: • Set up and operate manual engine lathes, vertical mills, and vertical boring mills • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop sketches • Perform accurate measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools • Maintain tight tolerances on machined components • Select appropriate tooling and speeds/feeds for various materials • Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure high-quality output • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Collaborate with engineers and team leads on custom and production jobs Qualifications: • Minimum 8 years of experience as a manual machinist • Proficient in machining a wide range of materials (steel, Stainless steel) • Strong understanding of machining techniques and shop mathematics • Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks • Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious Preferred Skills: • Experience with large-part machining or heavy industrial components Benefits: • Competitive hourly wage (commensurate with experience) • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Paid holidays and vacation time Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
